Note: You must have all coursework completed before you begin your student teaching semester. 学生教学学期为:

You must fulfill the following criteria in order to apply to the Student Teacher Internship:

• GPA保持在2分.50或以上 in your academic major, with no grade below a C in any course*

• Complete 45 hours of validated pre-student-teaching field experience (performed in several courses)
• Complete all professional education sequence courses with a grade of C or higher and a cumulative GPA of 3.0或更高
• Submit three faculty recommendations from members of the 教师教育 faculty (link sent to your email upon request)
• Submit a formal application by the appropriate deadline (link sent to your email upon request)
• Submit a Student Teacher Preference Form (link sent to your email upon request)

The 教师教育 Advisory 委员会 (TEAC) oversees applications for both the 教师教育 Program and the Student Teacher Internship process. The committee is making determinations related to the applicants readiness and knowledge, 技能, 对教学计划和 教学工作. 如果被录取，您将通过电子邮件收到您的状态通知. Once admitted, you should enroll in the appropriate student teaching internship. If you were not admitted to the program, you may reapply later when eligibility requirements are met.

 如果您决定在此之后不继续追求认证, you must submit in writing a request to change or drop the minor in teacher education to your academic advising team. You must also complete the "Curriculum Change Request" form on Myhilltop and drop the 辅修教师教育.  Additionally, you must sign an acknowledgement form that states the following:

"Students who drop or leave the 辅修教师教育 after formal admittance into the TEP will not be allowed to re-enter the teacher education program at St. 在将来的任何时候，爱德华大学."

Failure to maintain the standard retention requirements will result in your dismissal from the 教师教育 Program. You will receive notice of your dismissal by a letter from the dean of Education. Once dismissed, you will not be permitted to apply for the Student Teaching Internship.

You must meet the following standards in order to remain in the 教师教育 Program:

• 平均绩点3分.0或更高 in all EDUC and READ course work, with no grade below a C in any course*

There are five requirements to become a certified teacher in Texas through the St. 爱德华大学教师培训项目.
